Our April’s Acorn textile reimagined as a wallpaper. Inspired by an original 18th century Indienne textile, we incorporated various botanical elements, with its name a nod to the delicate Acorn and particularly graceful form of the oak leaf.
The new Madder & Mustard Seed colourway is inspired by a 19th-century book of Shimacho striped indigo fabric samples, compiled in Kyoto. Drawn to the book’s beautifully aged raspberry-brown cover, we used this softly faded tone as the starting point for developing the new palette.
